Allied Experiential gathered the channel’s talent for an intimate, unscripted, and freewheeling discussion at the Paley Center for Media in New York City, a departure from the traditional, tried-and-true upfront format.
The agency produced an hour-long panel discussion that gave advertisers and industry VIPs a fun and personal introduction to GSN’s current original programming. GSN talent on-hand included Rebecca Romijn (host of Skin Wars), RuPaul Charles (host of a Skin Wars: Fresh Paint), Donald Faison (host of the Winsanity), Ben Glieb (host of Idiotest), and Jen and Sylvia Soska (hosts of Hellevator). We splashed the whole building with GSN programming artwork, inside and out. A delicious catered breakfast and photo activation that invited guests to take a branded photo set social media abuzz with the hashtag: #GSNUPFRONT.
The event received positive press coverage in Variety, Medialife, Adweek, and Mediapost. This unique Upfronts approach strengthened GSN’s relationships with agency executives, and positive press coverage solidified the overall success of the activation.
