NAACP CONCERT FOR A CAUSE
CONSUMER CHARITY EVENT, LIVE PERFORMANCE
Leverage WE tv’s on-air talent to raise awareness for “NAACP Reads,” a campaign to increase early reading proficiency among African American and low-income families.
Allied Experiential designed and produced a free concert and reception in Washington, D.C. with WE tv stars SWV (Sisters with Voices), Erica Campbell, and Traci Braxton.
The agency secured the 1,500 seat Howard University Cramton Auditorium for the event, and managed all concert production, sound, lighting, set design, and event day staffing. The agency also partnered with local radio station WKYS to secure Alfredas of the Russ Parr Morning Show to host the event and D.J. Gemini to energize guests in between performances. North Carolina congressman, G.K. Butterfield, and NAACP President/CEO, Cornell Williams Brooks attended the event as well to speak about the importance of early childhood literacy development.
The sold-out event delivered more than 10 million media impressions, including local radio and TV coverage, strengthening WE tv’s relationship with partner NAACP and elected government officials.
